Dinossumptions

The idea was that their forms could change as more was learned from new fossils and stuff. 

They appear and behave according to peoples’ assumptions. Including, unfortunately, outdated ones.

Thus, Timeranoutsaurus sometimes drags his tail, or Dimorphodusk gobbles up fish.

And sometimes, especially when he’s near crystal palaces, Igwannadon sports his thumb spike on his nose.
